2016-12-20　ベルリンのトラック・テロで12名死亡

この19日月曜日にベルリンでトラック・テロ攻撃、場所はカイザーウイルヘルム記念教会前のクリスマス用品売り場。12名死亡。トラック・テロは南仏ニースでもあり。しかし、この場所がベルリン市民には特殊な場所であったとのＮＹＴのエッセイ。

このエッセイの最後にゲッペルスの予言を引用。
It was a response that brought to mind an essay written years ago, criticizing the area around the Gedachtniskirche for being too cosmopolitan ? a meeting place for different kinds of people, for “harlots” and “so-called men” and for people speaking “all the languages of the world.”

The essayist expressed contempt for what he called “the spirit of the asphalt democracy” and predicted a “day of judgment.”

That was in 1928. The writer was Joseph Goebbels.
