Pic-13 米国でガラス製造100周年展を記念して1999年6月30日に発行された4 種類の切手のうちpressed glassを描いたものです。切手に登場した初めての ウランガラになると思います。 米国郵政公社が発行している切手の解説では以下の通り製法等を説明しているだけで、個々の製品には触れてていません。 Pressed glass was perfected in the United States in the1820’s and represents America’s greatest contribution to glassmaking. The molten glass was poured into a metal mold and assumed the shape as well as the decorative pattern of the mold, although molds were expensive to make, pressed glass was more economical because pieces could be created faster, more efficiently, and without the help of trained glassblowers.
