2011.8.27 映画カサブランカ　君の瞳に乾杯

お酒は各地の文化の結晶とも言えるもの。
日本では日本酒ですが、最近はやや精彩がないです。
酒は食べ物と組み合わせであり、日本食の衰退とも関係あり。

シャンパンもありました。当方、実はシャンパンが
酒のなかでは一番好ましいと、思っていました。

シャンパン（正式には仏国のシャンパーニュ地方で作られたものだけの名前）
は、日本では超安価の葡萄汁に炭酸を吹きこんだものと、
あとはドンペリニヨンの高級品しか
ないのでは。国内ではシャンパンを生産してないから
でしょう。それだけ、製造に手間隙がかかるからでは。

当方、2004年にフランス、ランスのマム酒造を
見学しましたが、シャンパンは瓶内熟成、大きな
地下倉庫にシャンパン瓶が並べられ、それを毎日、
180度、手で職人が回すとか。かなりのスピードで
こなしてました。ただ１本ずつやるのですから、大変。
シャンパンの澱り固まらないように、また熟成を促進させる
ためでしょう。
このマム酒造のオーナーが藤田嗣治・つぐはるのファンで、
ランスに藤田チャペルがあるのもその縁とか。

ウェブを見ると、映画カサブランカにも、マムのシャンペンが
使われたようです。

白地に赤いリボンのコルドン・ルージュは、映画「カサブランカ」の
「君の瞳に乾杯」というセリフの場面に使われた。

Foujita chapel
In 1964, Rene Lalou, the head of a the Mumm Champagne House, and Leonard
Foujita (1886?1968), a Japanese painter belonging to the Ecole de Paris
school of art, decided to build a chapel in the gardens belonging to the
Champagne house. Begun in 1965, the Foujita chapel was entirely designed by
Foujita in the romanesque style, who drew the plans and designed the
ironwork, stained glass and sculptures. He supervised the building and
interior decoration. The chapel is decorated with frescos, remarkable for
their freshness, soft lines and curves inspired by oriental art, in colours
of blues, golds, yellows and greens, as well as very subdued reds verging on
brown. The chapel was consecrated on 1 October 1966 and handed over to the
City of Reims on 18 October 1966. The chapel was designated an historic
monument in 1992.[2]

Foujita also gave G.H. Mumm a fresco depicting “The Virgin in the Vines”.
The rose featured in the painting became the cuvee’s emblem and appears on
the metallic cap on top of the cork of the rose Champagne.
